It is important to compare prophecies. Regarding whether or not Bush is the last American president, there are more prophecies that give light on the future; such as, George Washington's vision, C. Alan Martin's "12 Houses" vision and Kim Clement's numerous prophecies.
To Clement's credit, even though his extensive prophecies tend to be more positive in nature, he did predict 9-11, the Iraq war, No. Korea' s nukes and other difficulties, and most recently, two great catastrophes coming; one in Chicago and one in California, but with little loss of life. 1/ Plus a massive army coming against Israel over the New Year [Ed., could mean around New Years, or sometime in 2009.] 2/
All that said, here are other prophecies on the subject of "the last American president" to keep in mind.
The first is the portion of George Washington's vision that shows America restored at the end of The Great Tribulation. This would indicate there are future presidents of the US. So, when people say "Bush is the last president," what they really mean to say is that he is the last president before The Great Tribulation; a very important distinction that needs to be made. Here's a relevant portion of George Washington's vision:
America Restored After The Third, Final War
"Then once more I beheld the villages, towns and cities springing up where I had seen them before, while the bright angel, planting the azure standard he had brought in the midst of them, cried with a loud voice" `While the stars remain, and the heavens send down dew upon the earth, so long shall the Union last.’ And taking from his brow the crown on which blazoned the word `UNION,’ he placed it upon the Standard while the people, kneeling down, said, `Amen.’
This next prophecy is a vision given to C. Alan Martin that indicated a break in the succession of presidents also (only excerpted here), thereby lending credence to George Washington's vision.
1971. THE LAST 12 PRESIDENTS OF THE US -- C. Alan Martin (Excerpt Only) 3/
It will be 27 years ago in February that I received this. It was actually in response to a prayer .. I was given a vision of the night that depicted the last 12 presidents of the US.
Each administration [2 terms count as only 1 administration] was represented by a house on a street (called Washington Street incidentally). These houses (starting with the house representing Eisenhower) proceed through till two presidents from now... (2 after Clinton). [Ed., By his definition of "2 terms counting as only 1 administration," that makes it Bush and Obama who serve terms in office.] I was given this in 1971, when Nixon was President.
The sixth house past Nixon (Nixon-Ford-Carter-Reagan-Bush-CLINTON) [the house after Clinton] was center stage of the dream. This house was shrouded in deep dark clouds (Ed., No doubt due to 9-11-01 and the Iraq war). The clouds came right down and almost touched the roof (Ed., One of the hijacked planes on 09-11-01 was thought trying to head towards the White House to hit it; a threat was also made on that date to Bush: "You're next."). The lights were on in the house, and the back door drew special attention (Ed., possibly to highlight problems with illegal immigration because of Bush's leniency on the issue, because illegal immigrants come in our nation's back door with approval from the White House where Bush sits).
To the north of the house was an arch of 6 stars. The sixth star fell to earth. You see, right after the fall of the sixth star [the one after Clinton] (Ed., Bush) I turned to the east fully expecting to see the Lord coming in the sky. Two large tunnels opened in the thick dark clouds through which I could also see the sun turned black and the moon to blood.
Mt.24:29-31 But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light..., and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
The images [underscored above] are symbolic of:
o The fall of a leader (6th star from Nixon fell [the one after Clinton]) [Ed., Bush?]
o The fall of the nation (the sun black) and
o The judgment of the church (red moon).
[This vision could mean that the President after Clinton [Ed., Bush] falls at the same time as the nation falls (Mystery Babylon, the UN/USA) [Ed., during WWIII?], and that the final President (the one after Bush) [Ed., Obama?] would be a puppet communist President placed over the USA until Christ returns.]
(Ed., That would indicate Obama could serve one to two terms. From current indications, this would be during the Great Tribulation. Interestingly enough, Obama is a puppet communist; or as Conservative radio personnality Dr. Mark Levine calls him, "a Marxist." p.s. So was President Carter. Both Obama and Carter claim to be Christians.
Several of Kim Clement's prophecies indicate that the next three presidents will be christians, 4/ meaning irregardless of any temporary break in the presidency, America continues on with more presidents into the future (during the millennium).
The above vision also supports Kim Clement's prophecy that Obama eventually makes it into office and is used by God to unite the blacks and whites in the church, as well as, to subdue strongholds of racial prejudice, and to cause some laws to eventually change in favor of the saints, etc. Regarding racial prejudice, even now [Dec. 2008] there have been more death threats against Obama than in the last 50 years of all presidents, 5/ corroborating God's prophecy thru Clement of a need to bring down racial strongholds in our country.
On a more positive note, the far leftists are complaining that Obama is more of a "centrist" because he hasn't made appointments representing them. An encouraging sign amidst all the doom and gloom. It also supports Kim Clement's prophecy re Obama that people will think they elected a democrat, but instead he turns out to be more of a republican.)
C. Alan Martin's Summary on what to look for:
1. Bush is president. - *GREAT CONFUSION!!! (Ed., Probably due to *9-11-01)
2. Great problems for the country and believers. (Ed., The Iraq war.)
3. An outpouring in response to persecution.
(Ed., People disgusted w/al-Qaeda beheading videos?)
4. Historic events in the Mideast. (Ed., Iraq/Afghanistan/Pakistan/No. Korea/Iran, etc.)
5. A great destruction in the US. I wish I could be more specific.
In the dream I saw a man who looks a great deal like Gore who presided over
[Ed., during] the destruction. [Ed., Elsewhere he says the man who looks like Gore
is "a puppet communist." That would be Obama. If so, this indicates Obama
eventually makes it into office and serves during the Great Tribulation period,
or at least until the Beast and his 666 system takes over; probably during the last half
of the Great Tribulation.]
If Obama makes it into office eventually, as C. Martin and Kim Clement have prophesied, and is the president during the Great Tribulation, it may be short lived when the Beast and his monetary system of 666 takes over. This would be the break in succession of presidents.
The takeover probably occurs during the last part of The Great Trib, per Jesus' revelation to Rev. Baxter who told her that first comes the antichrist (AC), then the beast. Jesus told her that the beast with his 666 monetary system is a separate entity from the AC. If so, then prophecy buffs have the identity and activities of the two entities mixed up into one, which would explain why there is currently so much confusion about who is the antichrist. As two separate entities, the antichrist would be first to come to power during the first half of the Great Trib and the beast second to come to power, during the last half.

Note: Obama does claim to be a *Christian and God does support that by saying Obama
knows Him in a way and that there is an element of righteousness in him to reach out
to Jesus. Plus God said in the above prophecy, as well as in others, that He will baptize Obama
in the Holy Spirit once he is in office and settles down, resulting in the White House being called
"the prayer house" and "the wild house" and some laws changing in support of the saints
during Obama's administration.
