Gee - now the fruitcake false prophets are claiming that the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25) is about Chanukah and since five of the lamps went out, it means the rapture will be on day 6, 7, or 8 of Chanukah.
What fruitcakes could come up with that garbage unless they were listening to demons whispering it into their ears???
2 Timothy 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.
2 Peter 2
1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

Jean Stepnoski (26 Dec 2008) "Their Lamps Are Going Out"
Dear John and all doves, One question to ask about the Matthew 25 parable about the bride and her 10 bridesmaids is this: why are they using up the olive oil for their lamps? They are in a small house with perhaps only one room. There would be probably one small window and a door. The smoke from cooking and burning a lamp would be vented outside through them. Why would there be a need for more than one lit olive oil lamp for light, cooking, and re-lighting? It would be a waste of money serving no reasonable purpose. There is one plausible explanation for using so many more lamps. This would be during Hanukkah, especially the days 6-8. It is toward the end of Hanukkah when multiple lamps would be lit around sundown and burn until midnight or later. The groom would not be expected to arrive later than then. The 11 need plenty of olive oil for Hanukkah lamps and the reserve for each in case the groom and his groomsmen arrive late at night. Each one would need her lamp burning brightly in order to see her way outside to the home of the father of the groom. This is the only time of the year in which such multiple lamps, like up to 9 for the hanukkiah, would be used in a single household. Many lamps, according to Jewish tradition, would be placed on the windowsill or near a door for others to see outside. It would be a way of providing witness of faith to the outer world. Literally, we may consider the possibility of extreme miscalculation of the amount of oil needed. The bride and 5 of her friends calculate well and plan ahead with wisdom. The other 5 do not do so. This plausible interpretation relates perhaps to days 6, 7, or 8 of Hanukkah in 2008. Gary Rich is correct in stating that for those in time zones behind Israel, Hanukkah will not be over before 12-30-2008. That evening would begin 12-31 for Israel. The lights of Hanukkah increase each day. The Greatest Light may still arrive this year. May we be daily full of thanksgiving that the Christ Light is near, so very near!With Love and Shalom,Jean Stepnoski
