false prophet Dawn Street insists on worshiping G-d in a way that He calls an abomination to Him

G-d NEVER said to celebrate tammuz' birthday even if it is called a celebration of Yeshua's birthday. In fact, when Ancient Israel worhiped tammuz (ba-al) and celebrated his birthday and resurrection, G-d called it an abomination and showed Ezekiel their wickedness (Ezekiel 8)

G-d sent Ezekiel to tell Israel to repent from their pagan celebrations - and they replied 'go away, Ezekiel, we will worship G-d OUR way' --- G-d punished Ancient Israel for doing things THEIR way (even when they claimed they were doing so to worship G-d) so why do so-called "christians" claim it is okay for them to worship G-d in a way that He punished Ancient Israel for worshiping Him???

Dawn Street (1 Dec 2008) "Merry ... Thanksgiving?"
I have heard several reports of employees who have been injured by the mobs who participate in Black Friday. At our local WalMart, a customer was injured - broken arm. I went one year, at my youngest daughter's insistence that it would be a "bonding" moment, a girl's day out for us gals in the family. I dutifully arose at the ungodly hour of 0400 to partake of the festivities. I was appalled by what I witnessed. Obviously we were not among those who had camped out in front of the stores and our shopping was not for the high dollar, high in demand items. Still the checkout lines meandered for miles through the store, the end being in the warehouse area in the back. I saw people fight over objects. I saw items clearly marked as "one per customer" being hauled out, 2 or 3 by one customer. No one plays by the rules and no one is brave enough to enforce the rules of play. There are no referees in this game. And the saddest comment I can make is that this obscenity is in celebration of our Lord's birthday. Now before you all remind me that there is nothing particularly sacred about Dec. 25 and that it was a winter solstice celebration - I know that. It is still the date we have selected or has been selected for us to commemorate a sacred event, the day God came to earth in human form. I am sure He takes no joy in the way His birth has been desecrated. I find it very sad, deplorable. Greed is the word of the day. I remember Christmas past. I am not ancient but I was born at the end of WWII so I am in my 60s. The only time we could get oranges was at Christmas. What a treat they were! Same thing with apples and bananas. My stocking was not velvet, it was one of Dad's work socks. They were gray with red toes and red heels and a red stripe at the top. We used Dad's socks because the apple and orange and banana would not fit in our little socks. The apple, orange and banana were supplemented with hard candies (unwrapped) and walnuts, pecans and almonds, etc. No ipods or cell phones. They had not been invented. Christmas was practical. Gifts were not elaborate and Mom and Dad bought them through the year and hid them from us until the big day arrived. They didn't pay for Christmas through the first 6 months of the New Year. And we made a lot of our gifts for each other. We did not expect high dollar items. Christmas was about celebrating around the tree with the family, singing carols, reading the Christmas story and sharing food. Christmas Eve was spent at Grandma's house. The grandkids were in charge of the "program" and we sang, we played our instruments. It was an exciting time to be a kid. There were Christmas programs at school and church. Those also involved the Christmas story, a Nativity scene and the singing of carols. The holiday revolved around the celebration of Jesus' birth. Christmas dinner was at the oldest child's home and the whole family contributed their favorite dishes. Christmas is still a special time of year for us as we keep our family traditions.
