Most who call themselves Christians are fools

Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) said that many people will claim to Him that they were following Him and doing many things for Him in His name. He will tell them to "go away, I never new you" because they were wicked and did not obey God:
Matthew 7: 21-23
21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
If you do not obey God, Messiah Yeshua says you are an evildoer. At the time He said this, the only Bible was the First Covenant ("Old Testament" / Tanach) and those He said this to directly understood He was talking about obeying Torah - the first five books of the bible.

Messiah Yeshua also gives us the parable of the ten virgins
Matthew 25
1"At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6"At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'
7"Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8The foolish ones said to the wise,
'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.' 9" 'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.'
10"But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. 11"Later the
others also came. 'Sir! Sir!' they said. 'Open the door for us!' 12"But he replied, 'I tell you the truth, I don't know you.' 13"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

The ten virgins are about believers. The five wise virgins continue to walk with God and obey Him when they accept Messiah Yeshua as their LORD (as well as their Savior from hell) as they gain knowledge of God and what He expects. (Lord means following and obeying not just acknowledging Him so they can stay out of hell) They maintain their oil by gaining knowledge of God and following Him with the knowledge they have.

The five foolish virgins accept Messiah Yeshua but instead of following Him as they gain knowledge of God through His word, they follow their own broad path to hell and only acknowledge Messiah as their Savior - they do not want to obey God - they want to do their own thing thinking Messiah Yeshua will keep them from hell just because they acknowledge Him as Savior. They lose their oil over time instead of gaining knowledge of God and obeying Him.
