The "first month" of the Jewish calendar is the month of Nissan, in the spring, when Passover occurs. However, the Jewish New Year is in Tishri, the seventh month, and that is when the year number is increased.
Just because the rabbis change the year in the fall on Rosh Hashanah (actually Yom Turah) does not mean it is the first month on G-d's calendar.

Good insights Carol. Your posting on Rev 4:1 and the 4th Hebrew month being December/January is something i hadn't thought of. It does line up with where we are right nowand the Ezekiel 1:1 verse is one i have read before but never applied it to a timeline. Wow- they do point to the month of January and the 11th day, very interesting !!!
