As we continue to pour over end-time signs that signal Jesus Christ’s soon harpazo of His saints, I like to submit an interesting celestial occurrence that took place Wednesday morning (Jan. 21), the dawn of the first full-day for the new U.S. President.
The star Antares occulted (which is when one object is hidden by another object that passes between it) with the crescent Moon (photo links below). While the Antares-Moon union is not rare, what I found interesting is the history of this star on the dawn of Barack Obama’s first full-day in office (note: the immediate thing I thought of was the Bethlehem Star and Jesus’ birth. Could the devil, who counterfeits Almighty God, try to mock our Heavenly Father with Antares and Obama’s reign as a world leader??)
Antares is a red supergiant star, fiery red and emerald green, near the center of the constellation Scorpio and called “the Heart of the Scorpion – known for war, service, bloodshed, and carnage.” In various cultures and cults, Antares holds special meanings:
Egypt – it’s scorpion-goddess Selket (protector of dead souls); temples were built and rituals performed based on Antares position in the sky.
Persia – one of four Royal Stars, also called the Archangel Stars
Arabs - refer to this star to celebrate Arabic hero Antar or Antara. He was a mixed-race (like Obama) poet-warrior revered for his bravery and ascribed this star to be the 16th manzil Arabic Moon Mansion.
Witchcraft – a fallen angel and quarter guardian of the western gate
Other traditions associated with Antares include death - either in battle or by process of law - danger by fire, weapons or machinery.
When transitioning with the moon (which it did Wednesday morning), astrological influences include: popular, broad-minded, interested in philosophy, science and metaphysics, liable to change religious opinions, influential friends, favorable for business and domestic matters, active in local affairs, great power, honor and wealth but benefits may not prove lasting, danger of violence, sickness, drowning or assassination (many of these traits describe Obama; all these example are from the source listed below, nothing I made up).
May we continue to pray that the love and will of Jesus Christ be alive in all of us. May we continue to pray for our world leaders that they would seek the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. May we continue to pray that Jesus be praised always. That we may know Him. And serve His will.
