Hello =,

Strong's numbers are a wonderful tool for understanding the Bible in its original languages. Here is a partial list of resources that use Strong's:

However, I don't see any particular value in the numbers themselves. They are simply an arbitrary tagging tool.

Feel free to post this response.

Sincerely,

Shalom Mr. Isett ,

I am interested in learning about the history of Strong's numbers and whether or not they are claimed to be inspired from G-d.

Also, what is the opinion of your site about Strong's numbers being used in "biblical" numerology / gematria? There are many people on the internet that are using them for divination purposes against what scripture says in Deuteronomy 18:10-12. If you do not believe they are inspired from G-d and are against using them for gematria / divination it would be worth your consideration to have a statement on your web page stating this.

Please also state whether you give permission to me to post your response on my blog (which is against false prophets / "bible" numerologists) If you do not want your response to be posted, I will keep it confidential and will not post it.

Thank you,
